Quebec Experience Class (PEQ)PEQ is basically a fast and a very convenient way for the people who have already lived in Quebec for a while, the purpose being either for study, or for doing a job that was located in Quebec, to immigrate to Quebec. This can be done under the program of Quebec Experienced Class. The whole process has only two steps that you’ll need to follow. The first is to apply for a CSQ, and after you have successfully done so, you can apply for the actual immigration. The medical records and checks will be held, and they will be supervised by the federal authorities.
There are basically two separate categories within Quebec Experience Class under which a person can immigrate to Quebec. These categories, along with their respective procedures are given down below.
- Foreign Students: There is a particular criterion that a candidate applying for this category should meet before applying. The candidate must possess a diploma or a degree that he received from a recognized educational institute located in Quebec, and this diploma should be achieved in the past 36 months or less. It is also important that the student must have spent 1800 study hours in Quebec, which equals to approximately two years. Evidence that the student has fully completed a full intermediate level course of French should also be included for greater preference.
- Temporary Foreign Worker: If a person worked in Quebec temporarily for a while, he is eligible for apply for this category of PEQ if the following conditions apply. The applicant should have worked for at least 12 months in a professional, skilled or managerial occupation, and it should be 24 or fewer months prior to the application. The applicant is to be employed at the time that he had applied for it, and the status must be shown legal within Quebec. Evidence that the applicant successfully completed an intermediate course of French must also be presented for greater preference.
